Celebrating Country Music in Edmonton!
Join us for the CCMA Country Crawl in Edmonton this September, leading up to and during Country Music Week 2024! Between September 4-14, 2024, experience some of the best talent in Canadian Country music from across Alberta and beyond. This dynamic series will be hosted in various venues throughout the city, showcasing a variety of artists and the rich and diverse influences that shape country music.
Program Highlights
- This is a paid performance opportunity for artists
- We will accept solo to full band performance formats
- This opportunity is for acts who mostly perform original music and have experience performing live.
- The majority of programming will prioritize local-based artists, but we welcome any artists outside of Edmonton to apply as well.
- All ages are welcome to apply as we will be presenting some shows in all-ages venues.
- The series will feature live music from artists who specialize in various styles and sub-genres of country music (eg. Alt-country, Americana, Roots, Singer-Songwriter, Blues, etc.)
- We aim to curate a diverse lineup of country artists, both established and emerging, to cater to a broad audience and showcase the depth of Canadian country music talent.
TIPS FOR APPLYING
- When applying, select ALL dates that you are available to play. We anticipate many applications, and the more flexibility, the better.
- When you submit your application, you will be asked to list all the formats you are available to perform in (solo, duo, trio, band, etc.).
- We want to know about your affiliations (music organizations you're a member of, your industry team that may be hosting a showcase during CCMA's). When you submit your application, you will have an opportunity to list affiliations. (Country Music Alberta, Alberta Music, your Booking Agency, etc).
- When you created your Stagehand profile, you would have had the opportunity to document your diversity. This information is optional and will only be displayed to venues that have agreed to Stagehand's terms and conditions; however, be aware that organizers are eager to celebrate diversity in programming.
- Please include a live video when creating your Stagehand profile (Edit Profile -> Links). Again, we anticipate many applicants for this festival, and including a live video in your Stagehand profile is the easiest way to demonstrate your talent.
