About the event
Heritage Park is an iconic Calgary Landmark with its beautiful location, vintage Calgary Histories, and over 180 exhibits and 55,000 artifacts. Heritage Park first opened its gates on July 1, 1964, and it has grown into one of Calgary’s premier tourist attractions. It includes historial area tours, fine dining kiosks and restaurants, live music and many other onging attractions. And it continues to grow creatively, now and into the future. This event will take place in a train called the River Forth Dining Car. The River Forth began its service in 1929 as a Solarium Parlour Observation car and was converted ten years later to a compartment lounge sleeping car. The car was modified two more times by the CPR; in 1964 it became a business car and in 1974 it was converted to a work car. The fifth and final conversion of the River Forth into a luxury dining car was completed in June of 2015 by Heritage Park. Pulled by an antique steam engine around Heritage Park, guests can also book a lunch on select days during the Summer season and truly experience what it would have been like to travel across Canada by train in the 1900’s. Journey back in time and savour a taste of the golden age of luxury rail travel aboard the River Forth. Through vocals and guitar, Dave Morris plays a variety of music covering many decades, including country, jazz, pop, and some originals and instrumentals. For the River Forth train music he will focus on Instruamentals. In his experiences he has performed at music festivals in Calgary and Kaslo BC, and Southern Alberta. He has also entertained at The Calgary Zoo, The Calgary Winter Club, plus many restaurants in Calgary on an ongoing basis, and has also been fortunate enough to entertain at weddings and other milestone celebrations.
