The Calgary Winter Club (CWC) is an exceptional facility is every way. Its mission is to enrich the lives of CWC Member Families and visitors through the provision of exceptional facilities, programs and services supporting lifelong physical and social wellbeing. The CWC officially opened on Dec. 9, 1960, and the original facility included a dining room, swimming pool, five-pin bowling alley, skating rink, badminton courts, outdoor tennis and a curling rink. Today, the CWC offers all of these original activities and much more. Through its growth, the CWC is now considered to be one of the top private Sport and Social Clubs in North America. This event is taking place in an exceptionally fine restaurant within the CWC called The Skyline Room, artfully run by its manager, Clint Morissette. Regarding the music offered, through vocals and guitar Dave Morris plays a variety of music covering many decades, including country, jazz, folk, plus some originals and instrumentals. Because Mr. Morissette is holding their annual "Lobster-fest" for its patrons, among the music played will be a focus on Canadianna/East Coast music befitting the offering of delicious East-Coast Lobster! Dave also takes requests, and enjoys interacting with listeners. In his experiences Dave has performed at music festivals in Calgary and Kaslo BC, and has performed at The Calgary Zoo, Heritage Park, plus many restaurants in Calgary on an ongoing basis.
