About
Interesting guitar work, smartly written songs, and connecting with a room full of strangers so well that they remember me, even if we never meet again.
A lifelong multi-instrumentalist, Taylor Lang delivers stories and music in a seldom-seen, genre-bending fusion of folk and fingerstyle techniques. Influenced by artists like City and Colour, The Tragically Hip, Jon Gomm, and Dan Mangan, he sharpened his playing and performances over more than a decade in bands: first on bass with award-winning Celtic grunge rockers Crack the Lens, and then as the frontman of Blaeser, a YYCMA-nominated folk-rock trio based in Calgary. Now breaking out as a solo artist, he spent early 2024 recording new songs with expert producer and JUNO winner Russell Broom, best known for his collaborations with Jann Arden, Kyle McKearney, and other chart-topping Canadian artists. The first of these songs, Broke But Never Broken, is out now
