I am a concert accordion performer from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. I perform solo, in chamber music ensembles and with orchestra, including a variety of tango, Italian film music and classical music.
Penny Sanborn is an accordion performer and educator from Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Penny performs solo, in chamber music ensembles, and with orchestra, and teaches accordion lessons. She holds a Master of Music degree on accordion from the University of Calgary’s School of Creative and Performing Arts, studying with distinguished concert accordionist Sir N. Antonio Peruch. She has been awarded grants from professional organizations including the Canada Council for the Arts, the Alberta Foundation for the Arts, and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council in Canada. Her performance credits include the world-renowned Luciano Pavarotti, Itzhak Perlman, Renée Fleming, the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, and appearances in Canada, Dubai and Europe.
