Saskatchewan’s 2023 Male Artist of the Year and Songwriter of the Year, country recording artist, Justin LaBrash, entertains audiences with a high energy live show with a cross genre set list including songs from his 2023 SCMA Country Album of the Year, “The Neon Palm Tree”. He has played more than 600 shows, both acoustically and with his band, True North, throughout Canada from Vancouver to St. John’s to the Northwest Territories and many points in between. A recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Medal for his
contribution to the arts, LaBrash has won six SCMA awards, is a multiple SCMA and SMA nominee and CCMA nominee for the inaugural Live Innovation Award for his #driveinsask 2020 Tour, North America’s first drive-in concert tour.
Justin’s recent singles have progressively charted on the Canadian radio charts, including, “See You in the Stars” and “Somethin’ About Nothin’”, which both went all the way to #1 on the Canadian True North Country Radio Indie chart!! “Somethin’ About Nothin’” is also receiving a lot of attention and airplay from US country radio as his debut release down south. Justin released his debut EP in 2016, his first full length album in 2018, and an acoustic EP in 2020. His fourth studio full length album “The Neon Palm Tree” was released in 2022 and is available for your listening pleasure on all streaming platforms and on physical CDs found at his shows and online at labrash.net.
Justin is proud of his roots and where he comes from. Summer 2021 saw him launch his first clothing line that paid tribute to his fellow ranchers and cowboys. He believes strongly in building communities and “paying it forward”. Justin is an official ambassador for Saskatcheewan’s Teddy Bears Anonymous and each drive-in concert during the #driveinsask Tour 2020 and The Hell or High Water Tour 2021 spotlighted a local charitable organization. Justin and his bandmates have raised awareness, thousands of pounds of food, and over $750K for dozens of Saskatchewan and Canadian charities over their career thus far.
When not on the stage, Justin can be found working on his southern Saskatchewan ranch and lending his talents as a certified judge at Canadian rodeos and KCBS BBQ competitions.
