About
Classically trained singer, showcasing many genres including classic and modern Musical Theatre, old Jazz, Disney, Opera and everything in between! Perfect for all audiences!
Brittany is an up and coming local performer who's journey is truly inspiring. Having survived a severe case of meningitis during infancy, which led to significant amputations, Brittany has grown into a vibrant and gifted young adult. Even as she's learned to live with her amputations, she has never let her physical disabilities get in the way of her passion of music and performing. Developing a love for music and acting at a young age, she grew up always wanting to perform for family and friends. This blossomed into her involvement in J. Percy Page High School's musical theatre productions where she attended. During this time Brittany started taking formal voice lessons and was introduced to the world of Opera which she has thoroughly embraced and made her passion. Brittany attended Concordia University of Edmonton, as a Drama Major with a Minor in Music - Vocal Performance. She was involved in Concordia's Concert Choir and theatre productions, most notably taking the starring female lead in Tuck Everlasting. This led to her involvement in summer musical theatre playing Flounder in Disney's The Little Mermaid. After leaving school to pursue her musical dreams, she started busking, singing in different areas of Edmonton, serenading the locals as they walked by. While performing near the legislature building, she caught the attention of a CTV News anchor which led to an interview that was aired in October 2022. Brittany has performed for the Shakespeare FreeWill Festival, the Night of Artists Fundraising Gala for Amy's House, Downtown Farmer's Market, Bountiful Farmer's Market, and various Senior's Residences in Edmonton and surrounding areas as well as throughout central Alberta. Most recently, Brittany spoke and performed as a Glenrose Patient Ambassador at the Glenrose Foundation's Courage Gala this past April to an audience of over 500 dignitaries, donors, staff and special guests. She is also excited at being chosen to be a Walk-By Busker for the 2024 Edmonton Fringe Festival. Her passion for music and acting demonstrates that physical challenges are no obstacle to living life to its fullest. Brittany's story is a powerful reminder to all of us to see beyond our limitations and embody the spirit of resilience and positivity. Brittany is looking forward to every new opportunity that comes her way as she progresses along her musical journey and to fulfill her life long dream of being a professional performer. She hopes you enjoy her performance and come away feeling good with a tune in your head and a smile on your face!
