About
Experience a veteran Edmonton singer songwriter at the top of his game, showcasing new songs as well as deep cuts from a 25+ year career fronting bands such as "Goldtop", "Manraygun" and "Idyl Tea".
Over the course of a 25+ year career in music, Edmonton-based singer songwriter Everett LaRoi has not only frequently been played on the Canadian radio airwaves but played hundreds of shows across Canada on innumerable tours, including lead ups for Corb Lund, Blue Rodeo (among many others) and playing at the 2017 Calgary Folk Music Festival and North Country Fair. LaRoi's duo "Goldtop" (with songwriter Alice Kos) went to #1 on Alberta's CKUA Radio network charts with their debut album "You Possess Me" during the summer of 2017. Currently, LaRoi has been playing shows with his band in both Edmonton and Calgary, highlighting new songs from his upcoming new album "Another Day In Song" as well as deep-cuts from bands he has fronted over the years including: "Goldtop", "Manraygun" and "Idyl Tea". With tasteful guitar stylings and an immediately recognizable melodic vocal delivery, LaRoi leads the listener through time and place with songs about back roads, living in the moment, grieving loss, facing demons, the power of friendship and trying to get back to the simpler pleasures of life amidst a complicated world.
