About
Meet Matt Grier: with his infectious smile and sincere warmth Matt embodies positivity and joy and loves forging connections through his heartfelt performances.
Matt Grier has been a professional musician based in Edmonton for nearly 20 years. Music has taken around the province, the country and the world; from Singapore, to US States like Florida, New Mexico, Arizona, California, to northern locations like Inuvik and Yellowknife, to Toronto, every corner of Alberta, and more.
Although most of his career has been spent behind a drum kit, Matt is no stranger to the front of the stage. He plays guitar and sings in a children's group, Michelle and Friends, and his own bluegrass band called "The Pluckin' Holler Boys".
Venturing into uncharted territories, Matt discovered a newfound passion for performing in seniors' homes, where he delves into the rich tapestry of old-time classics. Reflecting on these experiences, Matt shares, "I've always had an affinity for old music, and these seniors' gigs have been a fun opportunity to immerse myself in the timeless tunes of Hank Williams, The Beatles, Elvis, and even some old cowboy songs."
Matt is looking for new opportunities that are a Departure from the norm, he wants to burst through the Gate at Terminal velocity, and hopes his next booking will be the Runway that makes his career Takeoff.
