Erika Mae is an artist from Calgary, Alberta. Her personal style leans more towards Americana, however she loves performing music in many genres including R&B, Pop, Country, Jazz and more. Her voice has been described as rich and resonant, sincere and expressive, dreamy, elastic, big and powerful, timeless—entirely her own and outside the box. She’s recently been likened to artists such as Brandi Carlile, and is passionate about writing music with insight and depth that connects with others based on her life experiences. She has performed in events such as the Calgary Stampede Talent Search (Boyce Theatre), Calgary Stampede Windows on the West stage, Olympic plaza, Heritage Park, as well as won first place awards in multiple categories at the Calgary Performing Arts festival. She typically performs a variety of cover songs as well as original music, usually accompanying herself on piano or with a guitarist or band.
