Frankie and the Bass is a wife and husband duo that plays authentic, original folk-style songs and campfire classic covers. They've been playing together for over fourteen years, with music being a centrifugal force in their relationship. With Erica (Frankie) on the acoustic guitar and Sebastian (Bass, a.k.a "the Bass") playing both upright and electric bass, the duo brings high-energy melodies to life through charismatic and engaging performances of beautifully crafted songs with soulful and searching lyrics. They are heavily influenced by classic Canadian folk-rock-country sounds - Blue Rodeo, Neil Young, Gordon Lightfoot an Joni Mitchell, to name a few, as well as more contemporary artists like outlaw country stars Margo Price and Kacey Musgraves and Nashville-based folk singer Langhorne Slim.
