Cyndi and Lennie’s first meeting was actually on-stage in 2013 and “Generation Country” was created soon after they met. The music they play is true, traditional country, originals, and a solid splash of bluegrass. Lennie described their first song, even before they spoke to each other, as "magic" and life just got sweeter from there (married in 2014). Originally from Manitoba (Cyndi), and Nova Scotia (Lennie) they are proud to claim Calgary as home for over 20 years. Generation Country has performed across the Canadian prairies, in Nashville, Tennessee, and were honoured to be invited to play in China in 2018. Once you've heard them, you won't soon forget the pure country voices and impeccable harmonies! Lennie and Cyndi are thrilled to be joined by the talents of Kelly Gannon on drums and Doug Moerschfelder on acoustic, electric & dobro. Kelly is the true Albertan of the group and shared the stage for many years with his brother as the Gannon Brothers Band, appearing with Buddy Knox and Lacy J. Dalton just to name a few. Not your typical drummer, you’ll often enjoy watching Kelly standing with the rest of the band behind his beautifully crafted cocktail kit. Doug has joined Generation Country from Ontario and has made Alberta his home since 2021. In Ontario, eastern Canada and throughout the USA, he performed bluegrass and gospel from a young age and has a wall of awards celebrating him as a singer and musician. Doug adds the class of bluegrass to the band with his flattop picking and incredible lead and harmony vocals. Together, these four have built a solid foundation of music that is not to be missed.
