Zoey Ryen has moved a total of 23 times in her 18 years of life. Born on the sunny beaches of Southern California, and now based in Toronto, Ryen has wisdom beyond her years. At 17, in the midst of a global pandemic, and reeling from untouched trauma, Zoey Ryen released her first single “A Place I Know”. Having no previous musical experience, Ryen wrote and produced the song entirely by herself in her bedroom. Her gentle vocals, confessional lyrics, and airy production style resemble her influences such as Phoebe Bridgers, and beabadoobee. Zoey Rye released her debut EP Listening Through Walls last fall and is looking to continue her journey toward her second EP.
