About
Meera is a small town singer-songwriter that pays tribute to her home roots by a powerful voice and performance. Inspired by country and folk music, she accompanies her poetic lyricism on guitar.
Meera is a solo artist & guitarist with a soulful voice. She's been performing at various venues around Calgary as well as her hometown in northern Alberta for 8 years. An avid writer, she incorporates original songs into her sets that capture her audience through storytelling. As the recipient of the Flying Canoe Volant Edmonton award, she is inspired to share French and English music within her community and at her gigs in the city. Meera has performed at multiple French Music Festivals in Edmonton and across Alberta.
Meera presents herself with grace, talent, and humour at her shows. Her upbeat music gets a crowd dancing and singing! Meera's extensive experience with performance has curated her ability to interact with crowds, perform sing alongs, and create a welcoming and enjoyable environment for everyone present, whether at a pub, cafe, or on stage. Although typically a solo act, Meera plays with a band upon request.
