Melyssa Lee draws inspiration from folk roots and the emotive energy of the Lilith era. Her songs blend warmth, vulnerability and strength. Vocals range from tender to soul-stirring crescendos in the style of Sarah McLachlan, Dido and Jewel. In early 2023, she released her first single, “Sunflower (acoustic)” which has garnered attention on playlists, podcast interviews, CBC Radio Local Spotlight Feature and community/college radio. She has since also released a full EP: 'simply' and two other singles! Melyssa Lee is pleased to be joined by multi-instrumentalist Jerevieux for select performances. Jerevieux enjoys delivering lead melodies along arpeggiated bass via mandolin & Chapman Stick®. Together, this duo offers a unique sound through their combined musical styles and strengths. Melyssa Lee recently played to a full house at the King Eddy in Calgary playing originals and covers during their Acoustic Afternoon Series.
