About
High-Energy, and Highly Entertaining Outlaw Country Entertainer
Jacquie Daniels is a Métis Outlaw Country artist from Edmonton, Alberta, with deep roots in the Red River Settlement. Her music blends traditional country soul with modern-day grit, drawing inspiration from legends like Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash, and Dolly Parton. Equipped with a horn section and a cowhide-clad stand-up bass, she seamlessly combines the haunting essence of "Ghost Riders in the Sky" with Dolly Parton's spirit. Her sound captures the rebellious edge of the 1970s Country Outlaws, featuring smoky vocals that deeply resonate with audiences.
A six-time nominee at the Nashville Josie Awards, Jacquie has also been honored as Female Entertainer of the Year at the North American Country Music Awards International. Her career highlights include performances at iconic venues like the Bluebird Cafe, as well as major events such as the Rainmaker Rodeo & the Country Music Awards Red Carpet Showcase. These performances have cemented her reputation as a dynamic presence & a compelling storyteller on stage.
Jacquie's recent single, "Small Town Beauty Queen," produced during the TD Artist in Residency Program, hit #1 on the Indigenous Music Countdown & gained popularity on SiriusXM Indigiverse. It has also been added to Apple Music's IndigenousNOW & Boot & Mocs playlists. Another notable single, coming out late July is "Girls Can Be Outlaws Too," was created with the support of the Canada Council for the Arts & showcases her ability to break down barriers & redefine the genre.
She has shared the stage with renowned artists such as Clayton Bellamy, Donna & Leroy, & Donny Parenteau, & has been mentored by industry legends like Will Nance & Pam Tillis during a songwriting boot camp in Nashville. Her accolades include winning Best Original Song at YYC Rising Star 2022 & participating in the Jim Beam National Talent Search & Canadian Music Week. Her presence graced the hallowed halls of the Bluebird Cafe, and she commanded the stage as the opening act for The James Barker Band, Sloan and One Bad Son.
In appearance, Jacquie may conjure thoughts of a lovechild between Dolly Parton and Waylon Jennings, yet one certainty prevails: Daniels is the veritable wild card, ready to deliver an unapologetic musical knockout. You'd be downright foolish to miss out on what she's bringing to the table, partners.
